Job Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Social Worker at Mindful Body Therapy and Wellness. The Social Worker will engage in day-to-day tassks that involve building trusting relationships with clients, facilitating therapy sessions, implementing treatment plans, conducting assessments, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. This role is primarily based in Andover, MA, with the flexibility for some remote work.

Qualifications

  • Experience (or strong interest in learning about) working with eating disorders

  • Strong understanding of mindfulnes practices

  • Ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages

  • Skills in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or related field

  • Licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) preferred

ADvanced Level Intern (Master’s in Social Work)

About Us:
At MBTW, we are a private therapy practice dedicated to providing compassionate and evidence-based mental health care to individuals and families. Our team is committed to helping clients overcome a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, trauma, and eating disorders. We offer a supportive, collaborative environment where both clients and clinicians thrive.

We are looking for an advanced-level intern (Master’s in Social Work) to join our team, with a particular interest in learning about and gaining experience in the treatment of eating disorders. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated student to apply learned clinical skills in a real-world setting while working under the supervision of licensed professionals in a private practice environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, under the supervision of licensed clinicians.

  • Participate in case consultations, supervision, and team meetings to support client treatment planning.

  • Assist in developing treatment goals and interventions tailored to clients’ needs.

  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and document client progress in line with practice protocols.

  • Gain hands-on experience with evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Family-Based Therapy (FBT).

  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, dietitians, physicians, and psychiatrists, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

  • Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality in all client interactions and case documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Master’s in Social Work (MSW) program with advanced standing.

  • Strong interest in learning about eating disorder treatment and working with clients facing these challenges (preferred).

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating as part of a team.

  • A passion for helping others and a commitment to providing high-quality, empathetic care.

  • Knowledge of ethical standards and practices in social work, including confidentiality and professional conduct.

Supervision and Support:
You will receive regular individual and group supervision from licensed clinicians, with a focus on developing your clinical skills and understanding of evidence-based treatment modalities.
