Lynne Gallagher, LICSW
Clinician
I have been working in the field of social work since 2013, receiving my master’s degree in clinical social work from Simmons College. I am honored to have the opportunity to work beside you and am committed to helping you reach recovery in a way that honors your individuality.
In 2013, I started my career in a community-based setting, working with individuals and families who experienced trauma. Through this work, I discovered the power of the therapeutic relationship; placing high value on the development of trust and openness within the therapeutic process. I have spent three additional years working with children and adolescents in school-based health center settings, gaining the opportunity to work clinically with folks while collaborating within medical and academic systems. This experience has helped me to gain respect and a deeper understanding for holistic treatment.
My approach to therapy builds from the therapeutic relationship as well as my professional experience. I am trained in Trauma Systems Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I utilize mindfulness, psychoeducation, and narrative therapy in my work. My top priority; however, is to cultivate a space that feels welcoming and safe in order to work toward a recovery that feels most authentic to you. As part of this process, I encourage open and honest feedback in a way that allows for us to learn from one another. I very much look forward to working together!
