Lizzie Fipphen, LICSW
Clinician
Welcome! I am Lizzie, and I am happy to talk and see if I might be a good fit for your current needs and goals. I have worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and families for the last 10 years in a variety of settings, including schools (elementary and middle), an inpatient eating disorders unit, and most recently, a PHP and IOP for adolescent and family treatment. I earned my bachelor’s degree (summa cum laude) in sociology and psychology in 2013 from Gordon College and my master’s degree in clinical social work with a Children, Youth, and Families concentration from Boston College School of Social Work in 2021. While at BC, I also earned a certificate in trauma studies.
I specialize in treating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, and general life-transition related stress. I am particularly interested in working with adolescents and their families, providing FBT (family-based treatment) whenever possible to treat eating disorders. Not a lot of providers will implement FBT outpatient, so if this is of interest please reach out! I also utilize cognitive behavioral therapy techniques as well as narrative therapy, solution focused therapy, and DBT for anyone who would like to learn more effective coping skills.
I am available for in-person as well as virtual sessions, and I am currently licensed in MA and a member of NASW.
