Clinician

I have joined the field of social work with a passion for working in the field of eating disorders and body image issues.  I began my journey while obtaining my bachelor’s degree in psychology from UMass Lowell in 2016.  During this time, I was working at a strength and conditioning gym where I learned to be in awe of the human body and its capabilities. I also observed a completely different view through the lens of diet culture and negative body stereotypes.  These observations and firsthand experiences led me to want to do more than just observe but instead cultivate the skills to assist others in achieving peace with their natural bodies.

In 2018, I enrolled in Boston University’s Masters in clinical social work program with a focus on working with adolescents, adults and families.  My professional experience includes working in clinical school-based therapy and facilitating group work.

I believe in a strength’s-based approach where we are a team collaborating and utilizing your gifts and talents as part of healing.  Your story, relationships and identity are extremely important to me so I do my best to view each client I work with through a holistic lens.  I also believe that our growing relationship as client and therapist is crucial in establishing trust and an effective treatment plan.  Therefore, I strive to create a safe space where you feel you can give feedback and communicate what feels best for you throughout our time together.

I am excited to hear from you!
